Most Madera County classifications are approved by the Civil Service Commission. Salary Resolution

The provisions of the Salary Resolution shall apply only to Elected Officers and Employees who are designated as unrepresented (including Non-Elected Department Heads) and who are not covered by a Memorandum of Understanding.

Compensation

 Classified positions and the employees who serve in them are subject to the provisions of the County’s Civil Service Rules. Positions in the Classified Service may be Represented, Unrepresented or a Non-Elected Department Head. The following information provides salary and other compensation paid to Madera County employees. The compensation plan is generally based on written recommendations to the Civil Service Commission and approval by the Board of Supervisors.
