    • Limit two traps per household.
    • Once the trap is returned clean, the deposit will be refunded.

  • Cats must be returned within a maximum 1-mile radius.
    • You may not release a cat outside the 1-mile radius. Doing so is inhumane and the cat may not survive in an unfamiliar area.

To qualify, you must be a resident of Madera County. The spay and neuter program is first come, first served. All cats and dogs must be in crates or on leashes when purchasing an appointment. All dogs must be weighed to determine the spay and neuter price.

If you are unable to pay the full price, 2-month payment plans are available. Once payment is complete, an appointment will be scheduled. Dog license fees are not included in the spay and neuter price: $10.00 for a 1-year license, or $5.00 for seniors age 65 or older for a 1-year dog license.
